Jet Aviation Singapore celebrated 20 years of successful operation and exceptional service delivery in style last week at the Singapore Airshow, where the company was officially launched in 1996.
On the evening of February 17, 2016, the company hosted approximately 150 guests at a cocktail reception in Singapore’s tallest building, One Raffles Place, located at the mouth of the Singapore River in the heart of the city. It was the perfect venue for the occasion, providing a breathtaking 360 degree view of the city skyline that Jet Aviation Singapore has so ably served and protected the past 20 years. After enjoying the panoramic sites and a gorgeous selection of specialty foods, hors d’oeuvres and drinks at the One Altitude Bar – the building’s famous rooftop bar – the crowd headed inside and down a floor to Stella Level 62 for a delicious six-course dinner.
The official commemoration commenced inside with a warm welcome speech by Jet Aviation Group President Rob Smith, thanking Singapore’s Economic Development Board (EDB) and Jurong Town Corporation (JTC) for their ongoing support; Jet Aviation Singapore’s “founding father,” Ruedi Kraft; Senior Vice President of Regional MRO and FBO Operations Stefan Benz; Vice President and General Manager of Jet Aviation Singapore John Riggir; and, importantly, the entire team whose daily hard work, dedication and customer commitment has ensured the company’s success over the years. Smith then detailed the company’s success story, which was followed by a pictorial presentation of the company’s timeline.
Jet Aviation Singapore not only survived the financial crisis throughout Asia in the 1990’s, it bounced back and grew stronger. Since 2010 alone, it has tripled its capacity and more than doubled its workforce. And the company is proud to note that 75% of its employees were hired locally.
It was a truly festive atmosphere, enhanced by a great band and a fun “photo wall” that made for an unforgettable night.
